Job description:

Natt Group operates through three core pillars: Natt Safety Services, Northern Academy (a Private Career College), and Natt Personnel. Together, they provide complete safety solutions—from training and certification to on-site support, including Confined Space Rescue specialists—while covering all staffing requirements.

Our client is currently seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team on a contract, as-needed basis in New Liskeard. The preferred candidate will have a strong background in construction health and safety, with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Candidates should possess applicable health and safety certifications, and demonstrate a solid understanding of safety practices and procedures within industrial and construction environments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or training in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within construction or industrial environments
  • Safety designations such as CRSP, CHSC, or NCSO, or currently working toward one
  • Valid Working at Heights certification required
  • JHSC certification, First Aid, CPR, and AED required
  • Willing and able to travel to remote work sites throughout Northern Ontario
  • Valid G-class driver’s license required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections and recommend safety improvements
  • Support supervisors in monitoring and maintaining safety compliance
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legislation, and industry regulations
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Provide safety training and orientations to employees
  • Conduct hazard assessments and risk evaluations
  • Attend safety meetings and maintain accurate documentation
  • Monitor and manage safety equipment and supplies
  • Analyze safety data and recommend corrective actions
  • Complete related administrative duties and reports
  • Support ongoing health and safety initiatives and projects

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong background in construction health and safety
  • Excellent reporting, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and safety management systems
